The event, widely accepted as the largest dealer organised Goldwing gathering of the year, is the perfect excuse for owners to once again dust off their machines and take to the road for another season.
As well as being a great social get together, the event is also an important day in our charitable fund raising calendar. This year the generosity of the riders helped us raise £633 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, our official charity partner. Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice provides incredible hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis. It’s not just expert medical care they provide, it’s emotional support and practical things. They do whatever they can to be a safety net for their patients and their loved ones.
The glorious Spring weather attracted a record number of well over 300 owners with a member from every one of the country’s 35 Goldwing regions attending, including Kent, Devon & Cornwall and Scotland. One member, Peter Fisher from Dewsbury, has attended every single event. That's dedication!
"The day always proves popular, but this year was a fantastic success with everyone giving extremely generously to our chosen charity. A particular thanks to the ladies for organising the charity teas and coffees and serving over 300 meals."
